HEALTH POLICY
Teachers will politely decline to teach anyone with observable symptoms of a cold or flu.

We hear it nearly every day during the flu season: "They're not contagious anymore!", or "They've been at school all day, they're fine!", or "I'm a doctor, I'd know!"
Whether a person is actually sick or contagious is not up for debate. Maybe there's illness, maybe there isn't, but if we can observe symptoms, such as coughing, sniffling, a nasally voice, etc, we're not taking our chances.

For the well-being of all and the continuity of everyone’s lessons, stay home if you or the children in your care are sick. When our teachers get sick, as many as 15-20 students miss out. Some students regularly sit exams; many have missed crucial lessons leading up to their exams due to teacher illness. Our teachers lose income as a result, too.

If you drop off a child with symptoms and leave, we will contact you and have them wait for you in the waiting area. They will not be permitted to be in the play area.

All staff have been directed to uphold this policy. If you have any concerns about it or a staff member's decision to decline a lesson, please direct them to Steve—the staff are just following directives.

We take this policy very seriously. If you breach this policy, we may cancel your enrolment without a refund.

Masks are not suitable compromises. Your only option is to have a lesson online. Online lessons are available upon request between July 1 and September 30. Contact s as soon as possible if you wish to have an online lesson. If you make the request after 3:00pm on a weekday, it's unlikely to be fulfilled.
