Enrolment

Commencing enrolment

When You enrol, Your Enrolment commences on the date of the next available lesson unless We have explicitly agreed to a delayed start. Enrolment does not commence and the Student's place is not secured until payment is made.

Enrolment length

The minimum length of Enrolment is one term or the remainder of a term when the initial Enrolment commences after the first week of the term (i.e. mid-term enrolment).

Enrolment automatically renews from term to term, including from term four of one year to term one of the next year. The minimum length of enrolment applies to each renewal.

Changes to terms and conditions

You accept the terms and conditions of Enrolment that are current at the time of renewal. If We make any changes to the terms and conditions of Enrolment, You will be notified before the census date of the term in which the changes come into effect, giving You the option to cancel Enrolment if You do not agree to the changes.

Our term dates

You accept that We, as a private company, are not in any way obligated to adhere to other calendars, including the public school calendar. The term dates are those published on Our website at this link: www.advantagemusicacademy.com/students. We have the right to change Our term dates when notice is given before the Census Date of the affected terms, giving You the option to cancel Enrolment if You do not agree to the changes.

Fees & Payment

Our full schedule of fees is available at this link: www.advantagemusicacademy.com/students.

You agree to pay the fees shown at the link in accordance with Your Enrolment Details.

Changes to fees

We have the right to change Our fees when notice is given before the Census Date for them term in which the changes take effect, giving You the option to cancel Enrolment if You do not agree to the changes.

Payment

Fees are paid via direct debit. It is Your responsibility to familiarise Yourself with the agreement made between You and the direct debit service upon submitting a Direct Debit Request form. The fees charged are those available through the student portal www.advantagemusicacademy.com/students, and are charged in accordance with Your Enrolment Details.

Payment frequency

Payment is made in monthly instalments or quarterly (for each term upfront). More information about these payment options can be found on the website at this link: www.advantagemusicacademy.com/payment-options. The only other payment option is to pay for four terms for which We invoice for card payment or direct transfer.

If You pay in monthly instalments, you acknowledge and accept that You are not Enrolled on a monthly basis and the minimum Enrolment length applies.

If you opt to pay quarterly, You acknowledge and accept that, while the Direct Debit Request form indicates that You will be charged a "Once Off Debit", payments will in fact be scheduled for direct debit on the day following the Census Date of each term for the entirety of Your Enrolment.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for an unsatisfactory learning outcome if the Student does not adhere to the Teacher's instruction, attend their schedule lessons, and practise, or if You do not disclose any behavioural, medical, or learning disabilities or disorders that may impact the Student's ability.

Lessons

The service you are purchasing

Enrolment entitles the Student to a lesson(s), as stipulated in the Enrolment Details, on the day and at the time and frequency for the length of each term of Enrolment, or as otherwise varied and agreed upon in writing in the course of Enrolment. When the Enrolment is varied, the new Enrolment Details supersedes any and all previous agreements.

Changes to Enrolment

You can request to change the regular lesson at any time. If We are unable to fulfil Your request and You are consequently unable to maintain attend the scheduled lessons, Your Enrolment is maintained and Our terms and conditions of termination of Enrolment apply.

Missed lessons

Lessons missed by the student are not rescheduled irrespective of the reason. If the Teacher is unwell, lessons will be conducted online at Our discretion via a platform We have authorised. If We cannot provide a scheduled lesson, We will either try to reschedule or provide credit.

Lateness

If the Student arrives late for a lesson, that lesson will finish at the scheduled time. If the Teacher is running behind schedule, the Student will receive the length of lesson to which they are entitled.

Communication

We communicate with the primary Account Holder. We do not recognise communication via text message. We will send a text message only if there is an urgent message that affects multiple people. This will be accompanied with an email.

All communication is centralised. Teachers will not exchange personal contact information. Teachers cannot discuss any administrative matters. Teachers are not responsible for passing on messages from You to the Academy administration.

Teachers

You enrol with the Academy as an institute, not with a Teacher as a private individual. If Your assigned  Teacher is absent for any reason, We may have one of Our other teachers take the lesson. At some point, like in every business, staffing arrangements will change. Someone might leave or we may restructure Our operations. When this happens, Your Enrolment is maintained and Our terms and conditions of termination of Enrolment apply.
