My 12 year old daughter started [at Advantage] this year after 5yrs learning at another music school. I have also seen a marked improvement in focus and practice at home.

In a short time [my children's] playing improved dramatically and is now so expressive and beautiful.

[The teacher's] focus on communication and expression in performance encourages playing for enjoyment whilst his knowledge and experience with the AMEB curriculum allowed my daughters to prepare efficiently for their exams and achieve excellent results.

Our theory program enables our students to become better thinkers, performers, and listeners. It sharpens our students' creative, critical, analytical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.

The Academy is under the Direction of a multi-award-winning former lecturer of musicology who holds undergraduate qualifications in music and postgraduate qualifications in educational leadership.

All Academy teaching staff have completed at least 3 years of a tertiary music education or have a minimum of 10 years' teaching experience.

All Academy teaching staff are subject to quality management and receive ongoing professional development from both the Academy Director and from recognised external professional bodies such as the Australian Music Examination Board, The Western Australian Music Teachers' Association and the Australian Society of Music Education.

All of our instrumental and vocal students receive music theory classes at no additional cost.

All of our instrumental and vocal students can participate in ensembles at no extra cost.

All of our piano students learn on real pianos, specifically, Japanese-built U3 Yamaha pianos.

Our students have the opportunity to perform publicly every term whether in solo performances, ensembles, or exclusive adult-student performances.
